They told me if Bush were elected . . .

. . . there would be discrimination against Muslims at political rallies . . . and they were right!

With apologies to Instapundit, who is famous for doing this kind of thing.

So: as we prepare for the election we have to begin to reset all of our concerns that we've put aside during the last 7.5 years. No right wing mention of the long history of staged events brought to you by the Bushies (from the bullhorn on the pile at 9/11, to Mission Accomplished to the fake Jackson Square episode), now any sort of irregularity must be scrutinized by the suddenly interested.

OMG--a politician STAGED an event? The horror, the horror . . .

The point is we were warned by those smarter than us that if W was elected, all sorts of terrible things would happen--you know, dogs living with cats, that sort of thing. And there is a long line of posts over on Instapundit that show that Bush was elected, and these same things happened, but from the other side of the aisle, for the opposite reasons that people assumed were going to happen.

Check 'em out.
